The juvenile compentency and remediation website at the University of Virginia was developed to support the implementation of evidence-based practices concerning the evaluation and remediation of juveniles determined to be incompetent to stand trial in juvenile court. It is based on the premise that these services should be evidence-based, cost-effective, and committed to providing services to juveniles in the least restrictive environment allowed by the courts.
